Summer Island

A struggling comic named Ruby travels to the San Juan Islands to visit her estranged mother, a famous radio personality named Nora Bridges. Ruby is actually planning to write a tell-all book about Nora, a champion of family values who has recently been embroiled in a tabloid scandal. Also on the island are Dean, Ruby`s ex-boyfriend, and, later, Caroline, her older sister. A series of heart-to-hearts soon brings about a series of life-affirming realizations for all concerned.
